Praemia REIM announces the appointment of Lionel Paquin as Group CEO and pays tribute to Laurent Fléchet’s contribution

Paris, 20 April 2026 - Praemia REIM announces a leadership transition, with the Group’s Supervisory Board appointing Lionel Paquin as Group CEO, effective on the 20th of April. He succeeds Laurent Fléchet, who is handing over after 15 years leading the group, a period marked by the profound transformation and development of Praemia REIM. Over this time, Praemia REIM has become a leading pan-European real estate asset manager, through:

• Growth in assets under management from less than €1 billion to more than €33 billion;
• The emergence of the largest independent pan-European real estate asset management platform: more than 1,700 assets across 12 countries, with a presence in Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, the United Kingdom and Singapore;
• Its position as Europe’s leading healthcare real estate manager, with €17 billion in assets under management and more than 750 assets across 8 countries.

Lionel Paquin is appointed CEO of Praemia REIM

Lionel Paquin brings extensive asset management experience gained within the Société Générale Group and later at Amundi. Over 14 years, including 8 years as CEO, he transformed and developed Lyxor AM into a leader in institutional and retail solutions, particularly in alternative investments. After overseeing the sale and integration of Lyxor into Amundi, Europe’s leading asset manager, he joined its Executive Committee and contributed to the strategic development of its real and alternative assets businesses, particularly for wealth and retail clients. He brings to the group proven expertise in asset management, strong knowledge of alternative real assets, and a deep understanding of the expectations of major institutional investors and distributors. His appointment is fully in line with the group’s development ambitions and will enable Praemia REIM to enter a new phase of growth and innovation, serving institutional, wealth and retail investors across France and Europe.

Biography of Lionel Paquin, CEO of Praemia REIM

Lionel Paquin is a graduate of École Polytechnique and ENSAE ParisTech. He began his career at the French Ministry of Finance between 1995 and 2004, before joining Société Générale’s Inspection Générale from 2004 to 2007. He then joined Lyxor in 2007, where he successively held the positions of Global Chief Risk Officer (2007–2011), Managing Director of the alternative investment platform (2011–2014), and CEO of Lyxor AM from 2014 to 2022. Since 2022, he has been a member of Amundi’s Executive Committee, where he served as Deputy Head of Amundi Alternative and Real Assets.
